Lakes

A vast stretch of water,
Glistening in the sun,
Nature’s swimming pool,
Mysterious, amazing, fun.
Salmon, trout and kingfishers,
Wildlife everywhere,
Swimming, wading, hiding,
Or flying in the air.
Very calm and peaceful,
Misty, clear like glass,
Wandering along the track,
Through the waving grass.
Canoeing, diving, sailing,
There’s so much to do,
Everybody’s having fun,
I hope that someone’s you.
